Image description

ID: White background with the date 31 January on the top right corner, an image of Zebra skin with black and white stripes, and white text in the middle, “International Zebra Day” and on the next line, “Let’s preserve the zebras and other biodiversity.” At the bottom is an image of Zebra animal.

International Zebra Day is celebrated annually on January 31. These gentle creatures are facing threats due to shrinking habitats and rising human development. When their environments are at risk, the animals that live there are also affected. This day aims to raise awareness about zebras and how we can contribute to their conservation. Zebras primarily inhabit semi-desert regions in Kenya and Ethiopia, as well as hilly areas in Namibia, Angola, and South Africa. You can spot a zebra easily thanks to its distinct black and white stripes.
