About Greater Los Angeles Agency on Deafness, Inc.
The mission of the Greater Los Angeles Agency on Deafness, Inc. (GLAD) is to ensure equal access of the deaf, hard of hearing, deafblind, and deaf disabled community to the same opportunities afforded their hearing counterparts. The organization’s general purposes and powers are directed around the promotion of the social, recreational, cultural, educational, and vocational well-being of its deaf, hard of hearing, deafblind, and deaf disabled constituents.
Greater Los Angeles Agency on Deafness (GLAD) is a nonprofit organization that operates as a fiscal agency, providing administrative and financial oversight to five subsidiary centers in addition to managing an outreach center. Through this structure, GLAD ensures strong governance, compliance, and operational support while expanding its impact and delivers services across ten counties in Southern California, extending resources, advocacy, and community-based support throughout the region since 1969.
