Maisha: Recently, the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) announced that drivers aged 70 and older in California, whose licenses expire in 2024 and beyond, will no longer be required to take a written knowledge test.
For those renewing their licenses who are 70 and older, an office visit is still required for
[Zoom in: close shot] A vision exam and updated photo (for the driver’s license). Some renewal notices for licenses expiring in 2024 may indicate that a written test is required.
