Community Call for Freelance Designer

GLAD is seeking a talented and creative Freelance Graphic Designer to join our team.

Your role will include creating visually appealing images that meet our marketing needs.

Freelance Graphic Designer responsibilities include understanding project requirements, conceptualizing and creating drafts, using graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, and incorporating changes recommended by our team into the final design.

Familiar with preparing the final design files for print production and social media.

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong understanding of the latest trends in design and possesses excellent visual design skills with a strong portfolio.

Your Role

Create and present design concepts

Using digital illustration, photo editing software, and layout software to create designs

Creating visual elements such as marketing collateral and images for final delivery

Incorporating changes recommended by Marketing Director into final designs

Create visually appealing designs, layouts, assets and graphics that are consistent with the organizational brand identity and messaging

Tailor designs to fit the specific needs of each project

Prepare materials or copy for publication or printing

Managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines

Qualifications

Proven graphic design experience

A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics

Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

A keen eye for aesthetics and details

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines

Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus

Work Environment: Remote work, Flexible hours

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Marketing Director

Payment: Pay is based upon project scope, candidate experience and qualifications

Location: Los Angeles, CA or Remote
