On Tuesday, June 21, the LA County Department of Public Health is hosting a vaccine event here at GLAD! There will be ASL interpreters to facilitate communication.
What time? From 10 AM to 2:30 PM.
What are we offering?
(graphic of COVID-19 vaccine vial and bullet list with four options: First dose, Second dose, 1st Booster, 2nd Booster)
First doses. If you haven’t been vaccinated, come!
Or did you get your first dose but not your second dose yet? Come!
Or did you finish your first two vaccines but need a booster? Come!
Second boosters are also available for people who qualify.
This event is free to everyone who comes. Your immigration status does not matter, insurance is not required, and your medical information is protected by law.
By taking all 3 vaccines (1st dose, 2nd dose, and booster) are very effective in protecting you from getting severe COVID-19.
A few things for you to keep in mind before your appointment:
If you have insurance, please bring it. If you don’t have insurance, that’s okay too. Don’t worry. If you’re under age 18, you must have a consent form to get vaccinated. You aren’t required to show ID to get vaccinated, but we recommend you use the same name that is on your ID.
Now, some important information for minors under age 18. All people from ages 5 to 17 must bring a signed consent form.
5 through 15-year-olds must be accompanied by an adult. It can be their parent, legal guardian, or an responsible adult. If the accompanying adult is not a parent or legal guardian, then the consent form must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.
If 16 and 17-year-olds do not have an accompanying adult, that’s fine. They only must have a consent form signed by their parent or legal guardian.
You can download the consent form online.
